School (Seminar-Campaign)
ASYS Spirituality School presents a seminar entitled "Gimmicks, The Mystical Elsewhere & The Ancient Enemy in a Baroque Universe." The unusual syllabus shows the possibility space of the seminar like a plot of land, that is an unrealized garden.
The seminar is ludic, stochastic, but constrained as a workspace based in a matrix of interactions between four texts:
α.
Theory of the Gimmick
by Sian Ngai
β.
Cyclonopedia
by Reza Negarestani
γ.
The Mystic Fable
by Michel De Certeau
δ.
The Fold
by Gilles Deleuze
Each total set of interactions between these texts is six, and each text is divided into nine parts. These interactions form a 54-room castle: 9 mansions or units, with each one having 6 rooms or portions.
